Unusual ceiling

Help!!! How do I hang lanterns when the ceiling doesn't allow for hooks or clips? Anyone know if there is a magic way to attached fishing line so I can hang some paper lanterns so that they look like they're floating in mid-air?

(I've been told by the hold that they could use tape for my lanterns. Somehow I doubt tape can hold up a ton of lanterns and I don't like the idea of blue painter's tape all over the yellow cross beams.)

Hmm, are there walls or side beams that allow for hooks or clips? Or maybe one of those tension wire things that IKEA has in the curtain department?

Wow, that's gorgeous! Is that where you're having your wedding reception?

Sorry I have no suggestions. I suck at this sort of thing. Good luck!

This will be the reception area. It's a compromise based on a number of questions, including "what happens if it rains?" (Because it rains so often [2% chance?] in California in October... )

Alas, we'll probably only enjoy the blue skies for an hour or so before dusk. That's why I thought the paper lanterns would be a nice touch for the night time dancing.
